Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s flour crisis has intensified once again, with the price of a 20 kg bag of flour rising by Rs300 and an 85 kg sack by Rs900.
As far as details are concerned, the flour crisis in the province has resurfaced, with the cost of 20 kg bag of flour rising from Rs800 to Rs1,100, while the cost of 85 kg sack of flour is being sold Rs5,000 jumping from the previous Rs4,100.
Mill owners in Punjab don’t supply Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with flour as per quota, according to flour dealers. On the other hand, at places of supply where extortion is levied illegal check posts were set up.
People had blamed the government for the high flour price. The government wasn’t able to do anything, according to the people, because inflation is rife everywhere.
If that situation continues, according to vendors, the price of flour can go up further in the next few days.
