ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi on Saturday urged the nation to adopt precautionary measures viewing outbreak of coronavirus and its emergence in Pakistan.
In a video message to the nation, he said that patients of coronavirus were present in 51 countries of the world. The president said that 98 percent patients had the capacity to recover from the epidemic which spread through sneezing and coughing.
The president urged the Ulema to play their role in raising awareness about drastic effects of Coronavirus among masses.
Health condition of both the coronavirus patients in Pakistan is improving, while their families are safe from getting infected.
On Feb 27, Special Assistant on National Health Services, Dr Zafar Mirza had confirmed that both patients of coronavirus in the country were stable and improving.
In a tweet, he had said contacts of patients had been traced and tested and found negative, Alhamdulillah.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah had said also confirmed that the father, mother and sister of the coronavirus patient, Yahya Jafferi, had been screened and fortunately no symptoms of the virus had been found in them. “Even then we have shifted them to hospital for quarantine and other necessary investigations,” he had said.
