President Alvi calls on MNAs to offer support to doctors, paramedical staff
ISLAMABAD: President Arif Ali wrote a letter today to the representatives of the National Assembly.
The president wrote in a letter that the entire world is in trouble, including Pakistan. The only way to avoid coronavirus spread is by taking precautions.
Dr Arif also called on parliamentarians to keep in contact with and support physicians, paramedics and staff.
He said due to the lockdown during the coronavirus pandemic, the poor are facing difficulties.
He further advised MNAs not to go unecessarily into the market and to take full precautions.
Dr Arif Alvi said the twenty SOPs were planned and the administration of the district, mosque committees will ensure that the declaration is enforced.
Earlier, President Dr. Arif Alvi urged the federal and provincial governments to pursue a concerted campaign to prevent spreading of the coronavirus.
He spoke at a conference, after reaching Quetta on a one-day visit, to examine the coronavirus situation in Balochistan.
The President expressed satisfaction with the measures taken by the Government of Balochistan during the lockdown to extend effective cooperation to the vulnerable.
Chief Secretary Balochistan Captain retired Fazeel Asghar briefed the President about steps taken by the provincial government to control COVID-19.
