Pre-demolition work of Nasla Tower halted

As per the orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP), the demolition of Nasla Tower started but it came to a halt due to security concerns.

Work for the pre-demolition of Nasla Tower started on Monday night but it was stopped over the security concerns for the passerby.

Nasla Tower is located at Shahrah-e-Faisal which is one of the busiest roads of Karachi even late at night.

The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) planned to demolish grills, doors and windows of the apartments in the pre-demolition process.

However, Asma Batool, Ferozabad Assistant Commissioner instructed the department to stop the pre-demolition work over the security of the passerby.

Without proper safety measures, the blocks will fall on the roads which can be dangerous for the people.

Asma Batool mentioned that the demolition work will resume after the discussions with the higher authorities.
