Political death of PTI taken place, now its burial ceremony’s due: Maryam
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Saturday said that political death of the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) had taken place and now its burial ceremony was due.
She said this while addressing the reception ceremony of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) in Islamabad, after Prime Minister Imran Khan won the vote of confidence in the National Assembly with simple majority. Imran Khan had sought vote of confidence after his party candidate lost the Senate elections on Islamabad’s general seat.
Maryam Nawaz compared Imran Khan to former US president Donald Trump by saying that the today’s show was an exact repeat of what Trump did after losing elections as he also attacked the system.
“They have lost their minds after losing only one Senate seat,” she said. She termed Imran Khan a certified vote-thief.
On PTI supporters’ attacking PML-N leaders before the parliament house, the PML-N vice president said that hooliganism was not treated with ethics.
“I am happy that our PML-N leaders compelled PTI’s rioters to flee. PML-N supporters have also worn shoes,” she warned.
Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also spoke on this occasion. He hinted at bringing vote of no confidence against the prime minister by saying that the PDM would decide when and where they would bring the vote of no confidence.
