Policemen donning body cameras posted in Islamabad

According to Islamabad police, police officers with body cameras and special tablets have been deployed at five separate checkpoints across the country.

They said these cameras would monitor picket interaction between residents and officials, connected to the safe city network.

Officers with body cameras & special tablets posted at 05 different pickets.

A policeman can be seen wearing a body camera on his body torso in a video shared on the DIG Operations Islamabad Twitter handle.

The step seeks to address concerns about the misbehavior of alleged police officers with civilians or vice versa at checkpoints and to update and introduce it to international standards.
