Policeman dies from tear gas shelling at Islamabad protest

ISLAMABAD: A policeman has died due to the tear gas shelling during the protest staged by government employees in Islamabad on Thursday.

According to the sources, the policeman, identified as Ahmed, started facing difficulty in breathing after being exposed to the tear gas.

Meanwhile, he was shifted to the Polyclinic Hospital in critical condition and later he was pronounced dead by doctors.

Ahmed was working as a sepoy at the special branch.

Moreover, the tear gas shelling was carried out to disperse the protestors. Many protesters were arrested and a lot others got injured during the protest.
