LAHORE: The Naseerabad Police have been commanded on Thursday to record the statement of Hamiza Mukhtar under the section 154 of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) against the Pakistan cricket captain Babar Azam.

While disposing the file of the petition, Additional District and Session Judge Muhammad Naeem noted that the petitioner has alleged Babar Azam for forceful intercourse and abortion/miscarriage.

Moreover, the judge has asked the Naseerabad police station to record the statement of the woman under section 154 of CrPC and to carry out the legal proceedings.

Whereas, the reports submitted by the police were different from the allegations levelled by the applicant, revealed the judge.

According to the accuser, Hamiza Mukhtar, Babar Azam had sexual relationship and gave her false hope of marriage. However, she got pregnant in 2015 and Azam forcefully asked her to abort the baby.
