Police gun down resident of Hunza in Karachi
KARACHI: A resident of Hunza, Sultan Nazir was shot dead by a police official, while he was on his way back to home on a motorbike near Habib Bank Chowrangi in Karachi.
Sultan Nazir was residing in Karachi for educational and employment purpose. He was an employee at a garment shop located in Saddar.
According to the SSP Keamari, the motorcycle and some documents recovered from the possession of Sultan were stolen. However, the victim’s family has denied the allegations as they have stated that Sultan doesn’t know how to ride a bike.
Moreover, a strict action will be taken against the police officials who shot Sultan Nazir if they found guilty as a committee has been formed under the supervision of Superintendent Police Baldia to investigate the incident.
Meanwhile, the students and youth of Gilgit Baltistan have staged demonstration at the police station condemning the killing of Sultan Nazir.
