The Karachi Police has created a Skating Force to fight street crimes. 20 police officers have been chosen for special training.

There are 10 men and 10 women in a group of trainees. According to the police, the personnel on skaters will come under the Special Security Unit, and will catch criminals from narrow streets and traffic jams where police vehicles couldn’t reach or catch them.

“Roller skates will give an edge to chase and apprehend suspects,” says Special Investigations Unit Commandant Dr Farrukh Ali Lanjhar.

The training is underway.
