Police arrests banned TTP terrorist in Karachi
KARACHI: Sindh Police have arrested a terrorist of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and recovered explosives.
Police stated, the arrested terrorist was identified as Mir Sardar, a resident of Orangi Town, Karachi.
“Five packets of explosives, a battery, 2 wires and a packet of ball bearings were recovered from the possession of the terrorist,” Police added.
According to police, the accused said during interrogation that he joined Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in 2003. The accused has also been involved in facilitating several terrorist incidents.
According to police, the accused further said that he was an expert in making and installing IEDs. He, along with his associates, attacked the FC Fort tank in 2007, in which ten FC personnel were martyred, he also attacked on an NGO office in DI Khan.
