Police arrest suspect for trying to rape kid
CHARSADDA: Police have arrested a suspect to trying to rape a six years old child in Charsadda.
SHO Umerzai police station Kashif Khan has arrested the suspect within few hours of the attempted rape incident. According to reports, when the suspect tried to sexually abuse the child, he started screaming which foiled the bid.
Police said the suspect had confessed to committing the crime during interrogation saying that he was trying to rape the minor. A case has been registered against him, while investigation is underway from him.
According to details, a resident of Tarangzai area apprised police that his six years old child was playing outside his house. Few moments later, he came back home in horrified condition. He said the child told that Muhammed Gul, another resident of Tarangzai, took him to an empty plot and tried to sexually abuse him.
The kid also said the suspect threatened that he would kill him if he told anybody. He said he started screaming after which the suspect released him.
Taking notice of the incident, DPO Charsadda Zaibullah Khan had directed DSP Muhammed Ishaq Khan to immediately arrest the suspect.
Meanehil, the victim TikToker woman, Ayesha Akram identified six suspects out of 155 during identity parade in the Lahore Greater Iqbal Park case.
The identification parade took place at camp jail in Lahore. The identification of the accused was completed in presence of a female judge. While the camp superintendent was also present on this occasion, jail sources said.
Families of the people arrested in the case staged a protest demonstration outside the jail.
The protesters said that their children were forcibly involved in the case, while they had nothing to do with the incident. They blocked traffic on Ferozepur Road. Many protesters were detained after altercation with police.
Earlier, an identity parade of the arrested suspects could not be held at the camp jail on August 28 as the victim, Ayesha Akram, had excused from coming to the jail due to ill health.
