KARACHI: Clifton Police have arrested a gang of 10 kidnappers who came from Lahore to Karachi to abduct a family of four members.
Three of them were wearing army uniform and seven were in civil dress. They all hailed from Lahore. They had one media vehicle as well to cover their crime. Police have confiscated two vehicles from their possession — Toyota Land Cruiser Zx (LE-786) and APV Suzuki (GTL-313) (fake media vehicle).
Police sources said they had come to kidnap Tassawar, his wife Parveen and two children Alishba, and Ahsan. Tassawar used to work with an owner of a kiln in Lahore, Malik Nadeem.

Names of the accused allegedly belonging to Unit 401 Mujahid Batalian, 212 Brigade, and R A Bazar Lahore are: Shafique, son of Muhammad Tariq, Muhammad Ahtesham, Rasheed Mughal, son of Mohammed Hussain.
While the civilians are Malik Faisal, resident of Harbanas Pura, Mubarak, son of Ilam Din, Muhammad Ilyas, son of Yousaf and resident of Darogha Wala, Ashraf, son of Nazir Ahmed and resident of Harbanspura, Irshad Jan, son of Manzoor and resident of North Karachi, Asif, son of Fida Hussain, Ejaz, son of Riaz and resident of Lahore.
Further investigation is underway.
