 Police arrest 18 people for not wearing masks in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police has arrested 18 people on Friday, over violating corona virus SOPs.

According to the police, these 18 people were not wearing masks.

Moreover, the authorities have sealed 15 shops and six restaurants for not maintaining social distancing.

“The government has a no-tolerance policy against anyone not wearing masks, we have registered FIRs against people violating these precautionary measures.” said the Islamabad Assistant Commissioner Sania Pasha.

Today, Pakistan has reported 4,723 new positive cases of coronavirus with 84 new deaths across the country in the past 24 hours, according to National Command and Operation Center (NCOC).
