LAHORE: A PML-N worker was shot dead in Lahore’s Factory Area on Thursday night. His family believed that he was a victim of “target killing.”

They said, Muhammad Safdar had no enemies or did he have any fights with anyone. He was killed outside his house when men on armed motorcycle opened fire at him. He was critically injured and took to a hospital, where he passed away. His family did not believe it a mugging gone wrong, but believed that he was targeted.

Safdar was the chairperson of a Zakat Committee and a social worker as well.

Shops in the areas were closed and traders staged a protest after Safdar’s death.
