ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken a notice of non-availability of electricity meters in railway colonies. The relevant authorities have been directed to install 25,000 meters on emergency basis.

Railway Minister Azam Khan Swati has submitted a report to the PM in which it has been revealed that every year Pakistan Railways (PR) faces a loss of billions of rupees due to the non-availability of electricity meters in the railway colonies.

The PM has expressed his disappointment over the report and ordered the installation of 25,000 electricity meters within four months. A committee will also be established to monitor the progress.
