 PM Shehbaz meets King Charles III to condole Queen Elizabeth’s death

The Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday met the Great Britain’s King Charles III, and offered his condolences on the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also attended King Charles’ reception and met King Charles and his wife Queen Consort Camilla Parker.

World leaders participating in Queen Elizabeth’s funeral were received by King Charles III at Buckingham Palace.

Around 500 heads of state and delegations from around the world including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will attend the funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain on Monday [today].

Leaders of several countries, including Russia, Afghanistan, Iran, Belarus and Myanmar, were not invited to Queen Elizabeth’s funeral.

More than 100 flights will be canceled and the closest underground station to Westminster Abbey will be closed to avoid noise pollution during the Queen’s funeral.

According to sources, on this occasion the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Queen Elizabeth II was a source of inspiration and strength for the citizens of the Commonwealth Nations.

The Prime Minister congratulated King Charles II on his succession to the throne and said that, King Charles will continue his mother’s legacy in strengthening friendship.

He said that the people of Pakistan are looking forward to the early arrival and welcome of King Charles III.

The Prime Minister also thanked King Charles III for his sympathy and help to the flood victims.

Queen Elizabeth II, who ruled the United Kingdom for the longest term, died on September 8 and her last rites will be performed today on September 19.
