PM Shehbaz lands in Jacobabad to visit flood-hit areas of Balochistan

The Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday arrived in Jacobabad for a day-long visit to flood-hit areas of Balochistan.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited the flood-affected city of Jacobabad in Sindh, where he reviewed the rehabilitation and relief activities of the flood victims.
According to the report of the official news agency, Shahbaz Sharif also conducted an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas of Sindh and Balochistan.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reached Khuzdar district where he condoled with Balochistan National Party (Mengal) chief Nawab Akhtar Jan Mengal on the death of his uncle and recited Fatiha.
According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), 330 million people have been affected by the floods in Pakistan and 1,700 people have died so far.
The cases of malaria and dengue have also increased in Sindh due to the flood water.
According to a recent report, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) said that, the water level has decreased in Kashmore, Kundhkot, Larkana, Ghotki, Sukkur, Tando Allahyar, Shaheed Benazirabad, Tando Muhammad Khan, Umerkot and Sanghar areas of Sindh and Balochistan last week.
According to the observation of the United Nations Satellite Center, the flood water level has decreased by about 300 square kilometers in Balochistan, 900 square kilometers in Punjab and 4000 square kilometers in Sindh.
