PM Shehbaz appoints Ishaq Dar as ‘Leader of the House’ in Senate
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday appointed Finance Minister Ishaq Dar as Leader of the House in the Senate of Pakistan.
According to the notification issued by the Prime Minister House, PM Shehbaz Sharif nominated Finance Minister Ishaq Dar as the Leader of the House in the upper house, with immediate effect.
Senator Azam Nazir Tarar will resign as Leader of the House today.
PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif approved the appointment of Ishaq Dar as Leader of the House in the Senate.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has sent a summary to the Senate Secretariat in this regard, who will soon issue the notification.
After 5 years of self-exile, PML-N senior leader Ishaq Dar on Monday night returned to Pakistan from London to assume the office of Finance Minister.
Ishaq Dar arrived Pakistan from London with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Dar said that PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif have given him the responsibilities of the finance minister.
On September 27, Ishaq Dar taken oath as the senator of the upper house.
On September 28, PML-N senator taken oath as the finance minister of Pakistan at the President house.
