PM Shahbaz Sharif arrives in Karachi for a day-long visit.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has arrived in the provincial capital Karachi on his first one-day visit.
The Prime Minister’s special flight landed at Pakistan Air Force’s Faisal Air Base on Shahrah-e-Faisal where Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and other leaders received Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, accompanied by PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Maryam Aurangzeb and Miftah Ismail.
From Faisal Air Base, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah took the Prime Minister in a helicopter and reached Mazar-e-Quaid.
Accompanied by Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, the leadership of coalition parties including PPP and MQM-P also arrived at Mazar-e-Quaid. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited Mazar-e-Quaid, laid flowers and offered Fatiha.
After visiting Mazar-e-Quaid, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will visit Sindh Chief Minister’s House where he will preside over a consultative meeting on development projects in Karachi along with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, provincial ministers, secretaries and other leaders. A meeting on law and order will also be held in the Chief Minister’s House.
In the third phase of his visit to Karachi, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will also visit main partner in the ruling coalition the MQM-P office in Bahadurabad with the leadership, after which the Prime Minister will return to the Islamabad this evening.
