PM Imran performs groundbreaking of Farash Town apartments

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan performed the groundbreaking of Farash Town apartments in Islamabad on Thursday under the Naya Pakistan Housing program.
Speaking on the occasion, the prime minister said that according to the Frontier Works Organisation, construction of 2,000 flats in the Farash Town would be completed in two years. “Underprivileged people will get prepared flats in two years here,” he said.
“By Allah (SWT)’s grace, banks are ready to cooperate for provision of easy loans and housing schemes are also ready to be launched,” he said adding that banks were not used to giving small loans in the past.
The houses could be owned in the same monthly payment which the labourer class currently spends on renting a house, he maintained.
PM Imran said 30 more industries were connected with the Naya Housing scheme. The industry of construction had already reached a record point these days as the sale of cement in the last month was the highest in the history of Pakistan, he said.
Imran Khan also said that the construction of bundle island of Karachi will attract investment of billions and trillions of rupees. “Negotiations in this regard are going on with the Sindh government,” he added.
