ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will inaugurate Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit on Thursday (tomorrow).
This was stated by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan while talking to senior journalists about the mega project in Peshawar. He said the BRT Peshawar would provide state of the art travelling facility to people at affordable fare in the provincial capital.
The BRT project consists of a 27.5 kilometers main track with 31 stations.
“Thanks to Allah (SWT), BRT is set to run. Issues will be resolved by the time. We started this project for the welfare of masses. We had no personal agenda behind this. We initially gave a deadline of six months, which we should not have given,” said CM Mahmood Khan.
He said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had the potential to complete mega projects. He said PM Imran will inaugurate the project at 3:00PM on Aug 13.
The provincial chief minister announced to provide free BRT cards to local journalists. “This is a new system. I myself have been given BRT card today.”
