ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday inaugurated U-21 games in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
More than 26,000 players from 35 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are participating in the games as the KP government is promoting sporting activities and encouraging Youth to take up sports as profession, enabling more talented athletes to represent and make country proud on international level.
Addressing the ceremony after inaugurating Under-21 Games in Peshawar, PM Imran Khan expressed the commitment to promote sporting events at the grassroots level to exploit the true potential of the youth.
He noted that life was the name of competition and sports helped us to learn the art of competition. He said a true champion was the one who was not demoralized by the failure but learns from his defeat.
Imran Khan said it was the sports that helped him to wage a long political struggle.
The PM said that only those nations emerged strong which valiantly coped with the difficult times. He said that Pakistan would also emerge as a strong nation and the youth had an important role in this regard.
