Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday felicitated the country’s Hindu community on the event of Holi.

The premier has set up an example once again on ways to be inclusive and displaying respect to other religions.

Wishing all our Hindu community a very happy and peaceful Holi, the festival of colours.

— Imran Khan (@ImranKhanPTI) March 9, 2020

Holi is an Hindu spring festival from the Indian subcontinent, celebrated primarily in India and Nepal, but now spread through other parts of Asia and the Western world.

The festival is the culmination of winter and beginning of spring festivities. Often also known as the’ festival of colors’ or’ festival of love,’ celebrations begin on the Purnima [full moon] evening that falls in the Hindu calendar month of ‘Phalguna’ between the end of February and mid-March.
