ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Thursday has ordered to immediately fill the empty posts in federal ministries and divisions, local media said.

PM Delivery Unit compiled data of 129,300 vacancies in the federal ministries and divisions.

Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan was briefed by the officials concerned and subsequently given guidelines for 129,301 vacant positions in various departments of government.

According to the survey, there is no grade 16 to 22 officer appointed in 13,421 vacant positions, while 51,000 posts lack grade 1 to 7 employees. Moreover, 41,000 Grade 8 to 15 posts are also vacant and 96 21 to 22 Grade posts are also vacant.

The study further indicated that as many as 4,000 jobs would be filed through the Federal Public Services Commission (FPSC) across the country.

The vacant posts will be filled in immediately on PM Imran Khan’s directives.

PM Imran Khan proclaimed 2020 to be the year of a stable economy, in addition to having a detailed discussion on how to develop the country’s economic roadmap.
