PM Imran Khan convenes govt economic team meeting today

Prime Minister Imran Khan has summoned a meeting of government economic team on Thursday, to examine the country’s economic situation.
As per sources, the economic team would brief PM Imran Khan on the economic situations of the country. The team would brief the PM regarding the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) and would bring to light the economic measures taken to achieve stability.
Cases pending in the courts of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will also discussed in the meeting agenda.
It is pertinent to mention here that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) executive board will meet with Pakistan authorities’ today (Thursday), to consider the staff level report and approval of second tranche of about $450 million under the $6 billion Extended Fund Facility (EFF).

The IMF has ealier claimed that Pakistan has met all prior actions and performance criteria under the $6 billion program.
