Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday posted a message on Twitter, congratulating Joe Biden on his inauguration ceremony as 46th President of the United States.
“Look forward to working with the US president in building a stronger PAK-US partnership through trade & economic engagement, countering climate change, improving public health, combating corruption & promoting peace in region & beyond,” the PM stated.
Democrat leader Joe Biden has officially taken charge as the 46th president of the United States on Wednesday. Twitter has also welcomed the newly-elected president after banning his predecessor Donald Trump for his controversial claims of ‘election fraud’ and his role in Jan 6 Capitol riots.
“I will be a president for all Americans,” said Joe Biden as he took oath as the US president.
Right after holding his post, the president revoked Trump’s travel ban on some Muslim countries – also known as Muslim Ban. Similarly Trump’s policies regarding global health body and climate change were also reversed.
