ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has assured family of Usama Satti that a comprehensive investigation will be conducted into the youngster’s murder case.
According to the sources, the victim’s father met Imran Khan at Bani Gala, where the PM assured Usama’s father that a justified investigation will be done and the culprits will be punished.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid had a telephonic conversation with Satti’s father, he told him that the inquiry reports wouldn’t be forwarded without his approval, and asked him to go through the report prepared by the home department and district administration.
Moreover, on Wednesday (today) the five accused confessed about the crime during a hearing of anti-terrorism court in Islamabad.
On request, the court has extended their remand for five days so that the joint investigation team could submit the report.
A judicial inquiry report on Wednesday revealed that the victim was not involved in any criminal activity and his death was concealed from his family for four hours.
Five personnel of Anti-Terrorism Squad had been put behind the bars for their embroilment in the killing and a joint investigation team had been formed to investigate the incident.
