ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday inaugurated N-Ovative Health Technology Facility at NUST, Islamabad.
This is the first facility in Pakistan that will produce cardiac stents. The prime minister addressed students on this occasion.
“Preparation of stent is a welcoming thing. Cardiac stent preparation at local level is a big achievement,” Imran Khan said. He said most of the people in the world, including Pakistan, died of cardiac diseases.
The premier said indigenous production of stent would reduce cost of cardiac diseases.
He said trade deficit was a big burden on our national economy. Unfortunately, the organisations seemed to be having lack of coordination, he said.
The prime minister said Pakistan’s biggest asset was overseas Pakistanis. For success in life, you needed a direction and destination, he said.
“Our direction was right in 70s, so Pakistan was progressing,” he said adding that difficult decisions lifted the country up. He said the government wanted to boost exports to bring dollars into the country so that the devaluation of rupees could be stopped.
