PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Imran Khan visited Nowshera on Wednesday and inaugurated a housing scheme ‘Jalozai Housing Scheme’ for the low-income group.
“The federal government is giving a subsidy of Rs0.3 million on each house. While people will be able to get house loan from banks on easy installments and 3 percent markup,” said PM Imran while addressing the inaugural ceremony in Nowshera.
He said the nation would have to adopt high-rise structures rather than spreading on land as with the population explosion the agricultural land would reduce further.
The prime minister also appreciated the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for providing health insurance across the province. He said such facility could not be provided even by the richest countries.
Imran Khan will also visit Peshawar to inaugurate a housing scheme and lay foundation stones of different uplift projects.
In Peshawar, he will inaugurate improvement and up gradation work of Peshawar-Darra Adam Khel road and lay foundation stone of rehabilitation and expansion of Chitral-Boni-Mastooj-Shandur road project.
During his day long visit, Imran Khan will attend the launching ceremony of newly constructed OPD block at Khyber Teaching Hospital.
He would also visit rehabilitated center for the physically impaired people in Hayatabad Peshawar.
