PM Imran directs for coordination among ministries to ensure jobs for youths

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed for close coordination among ministries executing development projects to ensure jobs for youth.
Chairing a meeting to review progress on Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) in Islamabad, Imran Khan stressed upon the need for ensuring optimal and timely utilization of funds allocated by the federal government under Public Sector Development Program.
He said policies needed to be well thought out and harmonized to yield desired results. He also directed that focus should be on those ministries which were executing development projects as it would facilitate job creation and counter unemployment.

PM Khan said economic development would ensure better opportunities for the youth of the country.
ON June 17, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan had said 58 licenses of new TV channels had been granted by the government that would lead to more job opportunities and competition in the media sector.
“Of these, eight licenses are for news and current affairs, 16 for entertainment, 12 for regional, 11 for education and tourism, two for agriculture, five for sports and four for health,” she had said while addressing a news conference in Islamabad.
The special assistant had said 587 cases against TV channels were under trial on violation of the Pakistan Electronics Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) code of conduct.
She had said a summary to forum media tribunal had been moved to resolve these cases.
Dr Firdous had said the PEMRA received 187 applications for the grant of licenses.
She had said capacity building courses would be conducted for training of media professionals on quarterly basis.
Turning to political situation of the country, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan had said Prime Minister Imran Khan would never disappoint the people.
