PM Imran calls brave Sindh police officer, announces to bring Anti-Rape Ordinance

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday made a telephone call to Sindh Police Assistant Sub Inspector Mohammad Bux Buriro and lauded him and his daughter for their exemplary initiative and courage in arresting the rapist in Kashmore district.
The prime minister also announced to bring a stringent and holistic Anti-Rape Ordinance, next week, to close all loopholes.
He said the nation was proud of ASI Mohammad Bux Buriro and his daughter for giving a positive uplift to the image of police.
It is pertinent to mention that the accused was involved in kidnapping and gang-raping a woman and her five-year-old daughter in Kashmore.
About 20 days ago, Tabassum Bibi, a resident of Karachi, went to Kashmore along her minor girl, Aleesha, to find a job that was promised by the suspect, who subjected them to sexual assault for more than two weeks, after their arrival. Later, they freed Tabassum on the condition that she would arrange another girl for them and after that they would release her minor girl as well.
When the mother reached police station and told the officer her story. ASI Muhammed Bakhsh offered service of his daughter and asked her to tell them that she had arranged a girl for them. The police officer’s daughter went with her to get them out of their dens. Following which, police raided and arrested the suspects right away.
On Nov 13, the Sindh government had announced a reward of Rs1 million for the police officer and his daughter and rehabilitation of the victims, mother and daughter.
