The lights of the Prime Minister’s (PM) House will be turned off today (Saturday), to mark the annual Earth Hour event.
According to the Prime Minister Imran Khan, all unnecessary lights will be switched off to honour Earth Hour.
“Improving the environmental conditions is the top priority of the government”, said Imran Khan in a message.
Earth Hour is a worldwide movement organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), in 2007.
The event is held annually encouraging individuals, communities, and businesses to turn off non-essential electric lights, for one hour, from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. on a specific day towards the end of March, as a symbol of commitment to the planet.
