“Playing Dr Hasnat was a huge responsibility”, Humayun Saeed’s first look in ‘The Crown’ revealed

Humayun Saeed is all set to make his debut in season 5 of the most popular Netflix series “The Crown”.

Today, the first look of Humayun Saeed as Princess Diana’s companion Dr Hasnat Khan revealed. Talking about his character for the first time, the actor told Variety, “Dr Hasnat Khan and Princess Diana were total opposites. He was a very ordinary man in every way and I feel this is what attracted Princess Diana to him. His nature and simplicity made him special to Princess Diana”.

The London Nahi Jaunga actor further said, “I haven’t played a real-life character on-screen and to play the role of Dr Hasnat Khan who everyone knows due to Princess Diana was a huge responsibility. I am confident audiences will love the simplicity of the relationship and how it is portrayed on-screen”.

Humayun Saeed is playing the role of a British-Pakistani heart surgeon with whom Diana had a secret romance for two years.

According to reports, Khan was referred to as “Mr Wonderful” by the “People’s Princess,” who also paid a visit to his family in Lahore in May 1996. It has been also reported that Princess Diana was upset when Dr Hasnat broke things off with her in June 1997. Dr Hasnat also came to Diana’s funeral ceremony.
