PIMS Islamabad closes OPD after increased corona cases
Admission and emergency services in the nephrology ward and OPD at PIMS Hospital in Islamabad have been shut down due to increasing cases of corona virus.
The administration has decided to limit services in several wards. Corona test is also mandatory for dialysis patients.
It has been decided to give preference to Islamabad residents among dialysis patients while residents outside Islamabad will have access to emergency services.
A total of 70 doctors, including paramedics, have died at the PIMS hospital, while 18 patients are being treated at the isolation ward. So far, 7 doctors in the nephrology ward have been infected with the coronavirus.
