ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airline has let off 11 employees who were in possession of fake credentials and they have extended absences.
Obaidullah Jan, a spokesperson of the National carrier of Pakistan has informed that the airline has initiated action in the interest of accountability.
Ten employees have been issued notices of their removal on the charges of corruption, two others were removed for smuggling and leaking confidential information.
Five of them had their salaries deducted for not following coronavirus precautionary measures. Three were demoted for not following government regulations.
16 employees were given cash awards for good performance, 10 were found innocent after an investigation. The Airline has confirmed that action will be underway against other officials as well if they are found guilty.
