The head of the Aircraft Accident Investigation Board, Usman Ghani has been removed from the office on Monday (today).

The Air Commodore, Usman Ghani, was investigating the air crash of PIA Flight PK-8303 which occurred in May 2020 near the Model Colony, Malir, Karachi.

Ghani retired from the Pakistan Air Force on December 31 at the end of his term.

Meanwhile, the experts have expressed doubts and concerns over the removal of Usman Ghani from the post before the investigation which has not yet completed.

However the authorities have already held the pilots responsible while stating an interim investigation report in June 2020. Federal Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan said that the pilots were not focused and their lack of concentration caused the accident.
