PIA fires 28 employees with fake degrees

Continuing the process of accountability in the national airline where 63 employees including pilots were fired in July, while in the recent operation 28 employees have been fired on fake degrees.

According to a PIA spokesperson, 27 employees who went on leave without notice have also been fired. In another operation, five captains were sent home on suspicious licenses.

The spokesman further said that two employees have been fired for being involved in corruption in the national airline. An employee was fired for incompetence. Not only this, 4 employees have also been demoted for refusing to work.

The spokesperson said that due to violation of SOPs, the increment of 3 employees has been deducted as punishment.

Certificates of appreciation have been issued to 13 employees for good performance, while the national airline also gave cash awards to 2 employees for good performance.
