Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will operate four flights from Lahore today, as the national carrier continues its relief flight service following the outbreak of the coronavirus.
According to the information, PIA’s PK-757 will leave for London from Lahore carrying the British national while it will bring about 200 stranded Pakistanis all the way from London to Lahore.
On May 8, the special flight PK-203 will depart for Dubai to carry back stranded nationals from Pakistan.
In addition, two empty PIA planes will depart from Lahore to Dubai and will return to Faisalabad with 400 stranded Pakistanis.
At the other hand, PIA continues to repatriate stranded Pakistanis abroad, in which a special PIA flight has entered Pakistan carrying South Korean nationals.
PIA’s special flight yesterday had returned to the country carrying Pakistanis who had been trapped in Turkey. Two hundred and eighty-four stranded Pakistanis returned home via special flight PK-784.
Once the flight arrived at Islamabad International Airport, it screened and medically checked all incoming passengers in compliance with the rules and regulations.
Samples of all passengers have been taken following precautionary measure of coronavirus, according to airport reports. Special medical teams have moved the passengers to the quarantine centre, source said.
