 PIA bans flight crews from fasting

KARACHI: The national airline has banned its crew members from fasting during flights, citing medical complications.

PIA spokesman Abdullah Hafeez confirmed the notification regarding the ban.According to the notification, if any member deems it necessary to fast, he has been ordered to go on leave.Currently, all airlines around the world are banned from fasting during Ramadan, and the ban does not apply to only two airlines, PIA and Emirates.Yesterday, PIA General Manager Flight Services Amir Bashir had issued a notification number.
