PIA will now operate more flights to Saudi Arabia. PIA spokesman Abdullah Khan said that “Only 13 flights have been authorized by the Saudi authorities, giving priority to those whose stay expires on September 25, 2020.”

The PIA spokesman added that the rush of bookers was increasing and the PIA administration was in constant touch with Saudi officials.

It should be noted that PIA had started booking as soon as it got permission from September 15. PIA was limited to 13 flights a week due to Covid-19. Due to the huge rush on booking, PIA asked the Saudi administration for more, and the permission was sought for 28 flights.

The spokesperson further said that the requirement of 66% social distance has been maintained on all PIA flights.
