Petrol price likely to slightly increase today, sources

The PML-N led federal coalition government is likely to drop the petrol bomb on the already suffering masses by slightly increasing the prices of petroleum products today after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif flies back to Pakistan from Uzbekistan, according to sources
Sources said that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has not proposed reducing the prices of petrol and diesel in its summary sent to the finance division.
According to the sources, the final decision regarding the prices of petroleum products (PoL0) is likely to be taken today.
Notably, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was in Uzbekistan to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Heads of State (CHS) meetings due to which the updated prices of petroleum products could not be announced yesterday.
