Qalandars beat Peshawar Zalmi by 10 runs
In the 17th match of the Pakistan Super League season six, Lahore Qalandars won against Peshawar Zalmi by 10 runs at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi.
Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and invited the Qalandars to set the target. In the first innings, the Qalandars made 170 runs for the loss of eight wickets and restricted the chasing team to 160 runs while causing them eight dismissals in 20 overs.
Rashid Khan was announced the Man of the Match for his five-wicket haul. Zalmi’s Shoaib Malik remained the top scorer of the game as he smashed 73 runs off 48 balls.
It was the second league stage match between the two franchises. Lahore Qalandars had beaten Peshawar Zalmi by four wickets on February 21 at National Stadium, Karachi.
Lahore Qalandars stand first in the points table while Peshawar Zalmi claim the fourth spot.
Earlier, the PSL6 was postponed in March due to growing Covid-19 concerns in Pakistan. It was later rescheduled in United Arab Emirates which resumed on Wednesday.
