Peshawar witness surge in dengue cases

As per the reports, after corona virus, Peshawar has become the most affected city of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in terms of Dengue.
2,585 positive cases of dengue were reported after the test of 11,729 citizens conducted.
Out of affected 2,585 citizens, 95 of them are treated in various hospitals while dengue rates are higher in Peshawar, Nowshera, Mardan, Haripur and Mansehra.
During the last 24 hours, at least 179 news cases of mosquito bitten virus have been reported in different hospitals of Peshawar.

It should be mentioned that before being highly infected with the dengue virus, Peshawar was also highly impacted by corona virus. More than 64 thousand people have been affected by the virus and 2753 died because of the pandemic.
As per the health experts, due to overpopulation and the way people neglect precautionary measures, so many life threatening deadly diseases are spreading in the city of Peshawar.
According to World Health Organisation (WHO), the symptoms of dengue typically last between two to seven days. These symptoms include rashes, nausea, headache, muscle and joint pain, vomiting, and fever.
At this moment, there is no particular treatment for the virus. Pain relievers and fever reducers can be taken to relieve the patient by controlling fever and muscles pain.
