Peshawar High Court orders ban on TikTok application

PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court has ordered a ban social ntworking app TikTok on Thursday (today).
The Director General of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, Deputy Attorney General, petitioner’s counsel Nazish Muzaffar and Sara Ali appeared in the court.
According to PHC’s Chief Justice Qaiser Rashid Khan, the videos that are uploaded on Tik Tok are not acceptable for our society.
“TikTok videos are spreading obscenity in the society, it should be stopped immediately,” said Chief Justice Qaiser Rashid Khan.
In response to the Chief Justice, Director General of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority said “We have appealed to the officials of TikTok but no positive response has been received so far.”
Moreover, Chief Justice Qaiser Rashid Khan has asked to stop the usage of TikTok, unless TikTok officials comply with your request and cooperate with you to prevent immoral content as it is misleading most of the young people.
