 Peshawar administration launches crackdown on suppliers of dead chickens

PESHAWAR: Peshawar administration has launched a crackdown on the suppliers who are supplying dead chickens across the province.

Additional Assistant Commissioner Kashif Jan raided a shop at Bacha Khan Chowk and recovered more than 600 dead chickens. Two members of the gang involved in the supply were arrested from there.

The gang used to collect dead chicken from shops and then supply their meat across Peshawar. The meat was used by shops of Shawarma, chicken burger and other shops.

The deputy commissioner Peshawar said that action would be taken against the arrested suspects.
