PEMRA requests TV channels to not air special eid programs in honor of Kashmir crisis
The Pakistan Media Regulatory Authority requested media channels not to air “pre-recorded or live special shows on Eid-ul-Azha because it “may hurt sentiments of not only our nation but also the Kashmiri brethren”
According to reports, 14 August will be celebrated as “solidarity day with brave Kashmiris”, said regulatory authority. Similarly, it said that August 15 will be observed as black day and the national flag will fly at half-mast.
PEMRA also advised the TV channels to turn their logos “Black & White” throughout August 15, 2019 to highlight Indian atrocities in India-administered Kashmir.
