 PDWP approves Rs3.712 billion scholarship for students of tribal areas

PESHAWAR: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has approved scholarship scheme worth Rs3.712 billion for students of merged tribal areas.

The scholarship scheme has been announced in sixth meeting of the PDWP in a bid to ensure attendance of primary and secondary school students. The students will get the scholarship on 70 percent attendance.

Male students of primary section will get Rs500 and female students will get Rs1000 every month, while male and female students of secondary section will get Rs1000 every month.
