PDM’s rally under threat of Taliban attack: NACTA
LAHORE: The National Counter Terrorism Authority has disclosed on Friday that there is a risk of incursion by Taliban on the rally of the Public Democratic Movement at Minar-e-Pakistan, scheduled to be held on December 13.
The security organisation has suggested to prioritize well-handled security during the rally and keen inspection should be on suspicious and doubtful individuals. Negligence may lead to dreadful consequences. The NACTA further states that Taliban had changed their approaches for terrorism.
On the other hand, consent for the PDM’s rally have been denied in order to sustain the Covid-19 precautions as it might contribute to outspreading corona virus.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has also recommended to delay the event for the next three months until the condition tends to be in control. Whereas, Maryam Nawaz commands that the idea of rally would not be reversed and it will be happening anyway.
