The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) will conduct a meeting near Eid to decide where to hold the remain matches.
The remaining matches were scheduled for Karachi. However, the rising positivity ratio of covid-19 has generated concerns.
“We stay in touch regularly with the PCB and all other sporting units planning to either host the events or requiring vaccination for their athletes. We are closely monitoring the whole situation. A meeting with the PCB officials is expected to be held around Eid — possibly just after the holidays to decide on the PSL VI matches scheduled in Karachi,” told NCOC to ‘The News’.
The NCOC further revealed that the remaining matches might held in UAE, as one of the franchiser has forwarded such request to PCB.
Acoording to the PCB, either the remaining matches will be held at the National Stadium or will be shifted to a backup venue in UAE or to postpone these for when the coronavirus situation improves next year.
The PCB is in no mood to shift the matches to UAE as it has booked over 300 rooms in Karachi and moving it in UAE would result in finacial burden.
